STTN...

So this isn't the final installment of my labor story yet, HOWEVER, I just had to announce (drumroll please) ....Miss Lucy SLEPT.THROUGH.THE.NIGHT last night! First time EVER. Usually she wakes up at 2 or 3 am and again at 5 or 6 am, but last nigh I got 7 , YES SEVEN, hours of fabulous, glorious, uninterrupted sleep. I had forgotten how amazing that felt! The Tiny Pig (our nickname for her, which will cause her no embarrassment whatsoever later in life) had her last feeding at 11:30 and woke up just after 7:00 am. It was incredible!

Just had to brag.

Labor story finale to come soon, but right now we're off to Babies'R'Us for a bunch of stuff we probably don't need and to a local Portland baby boutique for some cloth diapers (more to come on our late start to cloth diapering later)!

Tell me your secrets oh wise one. I am still just amazed with the 4 hour span that I get!

We didn't start cloth diapering until 6 weeks after our son was born. It was too much work to change 12 diapers a day and have to wash them out each time.

I'm so excited for you that she's sleeping so long already! This is a good sign for the future. My son, who is now 1, sleeps 13 hours every night. It's fantastic!

We cloth diaper and we love it! If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Congratulations, but I think maybe I hate you. My baby was born at the end of November and the longest he's slept at night is 4.5 hours....

Oh dear, I'm so so happy I have finally been able to 'catch' back up with you and your blog. I followed it like crazy until I had my lil bean and lost your blog name on my laptop. I retrieved it from my desktop and it feels like I'm reaquainted with an old friend, hahaha!
Anywho, congratulations over and over again, miss Lucy is the CUTEST!!!! I would just like to encourage you to love on her every.single.second., it's just so amazing. Mine is 3 months tomorrow and looking at your pics already makes me tear up remembering the 'early days'.
Btw, I love love love the nursery and the bedding, I'm thinking of doing my lil girl's in that pattern also =)
I'm planning to start cloth diapering as soon as our disposable stash runs dry...what are you using, I'm thinking of bumgenius.
Take care and I'm anxious to read the finale to the birth story ::cheers:: Mindy

I'm due with my first baby in late summer and am hanging on every labor story word! I have so much to learn and look forward to hearing more about the cloth diaper thing. What a precious girl, that Lucy!

She's so beautiful!

1) Good luck with cloth diapers. I've used them for 3 kids, but didn't start until late with my first 2 but we love them!

2) Don't get too used to STTN! I've found that it only lasts long enough to tease you, but of course there are many babies out there who are amazing sleepers forever :)

Congrats! I remember you from the nest. In 2007 as you were having your struggles I was having struggles with miscarriages. I am soooooo happy for you! I wish you all the best!

P.S. My son was born June 2008.
