Short Post...

...because today has been beautiful and we've been at the Farmer's Market, Home Depot, out in the yard and then down for a nap (both Lucy AND myself) and now I've gotta get myself spruced up for (drum roll please) ...DATE NIGHT! Rob and I are going to go to dinner at one of our favorite Greek restaurants and then off to see Star Trek or Angels & Demons. I'm excited to spend time with Rob as a couple instead of as mommy-daddy, but is is weird that I hate to leave Lucy for that long...a whole 4-5 hours? She'll be here at home with my mom, who has had Lucy withdrawals this week while I've been home, so I know she'll be fine, but still... I'll miss her. How ridiculous am I?

I'm working on the Q&A post, though it's taking me longer than I thought since I'm trying to thoroughly answer every one's questions. I'm hoping to post it tomorrow afternoon. Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday, how are you spending yours?

“It's the national addiction: warmth on chilly winter nights, innocence on Saturday afternoons, the essence of hearth, home and blissful abandon.”

From a fellow Portlander, enjoy the wonderful weather, it's absolutely beautiful. I would love to know which Greek restaurant you guys go to? Greek Cuisina downtown? We're always on the lookout for good greek restaurants. Have fun tonight!

Today I went for afternoon tea (complete with real scones and clotted cream) with some friends to celebrate my birthday. It was so much fun!

I spent mine trying to put myself into active labor. I was 2 cm and 50% efffaced on Friday and had my membranes stripped, but since then nothing! Contractions, but not worth timing! I WANT MY BABY GIRL TO COME!!!!!!

I feel bad leaving my Bean home, too. Hubs and I are going on a date tonight and the baby is having her first overnight, so I'm missing her like crazy.

Horray for date night! This is something I made Nick promise to (read: pinky swear!) when I was pregnant. Date night, once a month, no excuses. A night where you may start to talk about baby a little, but then you hold hands while walking around, laughing over dinner and want to go home and "practice" for that next little bundle of joy. It's like 4 hours of dating life again. Good for you for making that happen! Oddly enough, I did gardening/Home Depot today too! Great minds think alike!

(Another PDXer) I also spent my afternoon at the Farmers Market with my husband just enjoying the sun and weather. We both wish we were little so we could run through the fountains. Wanted to get to the beach today, but we slept in so we are headed for a picnic in the park. I can't believe how beautiful it is this weekend!

OMG I just found your blog but I'm SO excited to go back and read more. I'm very intrigued with new parents right now!! So excited to pick your brain for monny and pre-mommy advice!!

And this may sound weird but I feel bad leaving my dog at home sometimes, haha. So I can only IMAGINE how I'll feel with a kid!
