Our Life In Pictures - Springtime

I can feel it in the air. Summer is right around the corner and I cannot wait. Rob always teases me that I'm always so excited for the next season (usually when the current ones are not even half over). In the dry end of summer days I yearn for the crisp, cool days of fall. By about the 60th rainy day I'm ready for snow and twinkling Christmas lights. When I'm tired of scraping the freeze off of my car and going to work in pitch black I can't wait for the lighter days and the cheery spring flowers. And when Oregon gives me torrential spring rains I am giddy at the thought of steamy summer evenings drinking tall iced teas in our hammock under the grapevines.

Oregon always teases this time of year. Giving us a couple days of balmy, sunny weather...only to then keep us on our toes by bringing in near freezing temperatures just when I had gone out and bought four new summer tops and scored a great deal only shorties and tanks for Lucy. It's always a bummer to bring back out the winter sweaters after you've already sported a tank and shorts. And I shaved my legs for this?

Two weekends ago the Farmer's Market opened up. Do you have one near you? We start counting down the days starting in April for the beginning of market season. We are huge fans of the market and go every weekend without fail. The first market day did not disappoint, the weather was lovely and we scored some beautiful basil and tomato plants which just called my name to make a plateful of bruschetta and enjoy it outside on the patio al fresco. It's lovely. It means summer is literally knocking on our door. Horray!

Here are some pictures of our last couple weekends of fun times, in good weather and in bad! Also, notice the new "do"? Lucy got her first haircut!

“Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence. Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance. Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverence. Winter passes and one remembers one's perseverance.”

what's this yummy stuff Lucy's having for breakfast!? I'm obsessed with looking at photos of toddler food plates :) - I have a 1 year old who's learning to eat new stuff every day, so I'm on a lookout :)
Lovely photos! It's not Summer full force here in Vancouver, BC yet either, fingers crossed for some continuation of good weather soon!

What great photos!

My husband is from Oregon. We go visit usually once a year or so. The weather out there is beautiful.

We live in Arizona and our farmer's markets ends in April (due to the intense heat here).

Ha, I'm exactly the same about the changing seasons. Right now I'm desperate for summer to really hit us properly ... we keep getting these chilly, rainy days in between the gorgeous warm ones.
Lucy looks beautiful as usual!
