I'm A Guestie....!

So when I was asked by the lovely and talented Jen from Maybe If You Just Relax to do a guest post on her blog I was terrified. I mean she may be the funniest blogger out there. Talk about having a lot to live (write?) up to. So, in my usual way I just rambled on about what? Myself. There's narcissism at its finest for you, but I suppose that goes along with:

A. Being a Blogger, which basically means you are devoting an entire website about yourself, your life, your family.
B. The fact that it was my birthday yesterday, which means the world revolves around me for the entire day.

So, I wrote it UP. By wrote it up I mean I wrote entirely too much and hope that her readers (and my own) don't fall asleep in a turkey induced coma halfway through.

Go see my guest post HERE and please, stay awhile and peruse the hilarity that is Jen. You'll love it, you'll love her. Everybody wins! I promise!

Have a wonderful, safe and Happy Thanksgiving. I know I have a lot to be thankful for and I'm going to spend the entire day inhaling turkey and eating my weight in potatoes, which means one of the things on my long list that I am thankful for will be a Stairmaster.

"What we're really talking about is a wonderful day set aside on the fourth Thursday of November when no one diets. I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving?

The ages are a couple of years off, and the early desires don't match up. But the don't want/WANT sentiments are the same. The paths very different, but similar. DH wanting a baby, me NO. My cousin said tonight that she works with my old roommate, who was surprised that I was married and had a baby. So opposite from my early 20's. And though it was so far from what I wanted then, I couldn't be prouder that when she talked about me to her she told her that I am an awesome Mom. How life changes, thank goodness usually for the better!

Great job, Bev - great read, as always. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving. Carrie and I are hitting up some stores at 3am...I think we might be certifiably insane.

Ah, I forgot to add: Thank you very, very much for the camera recommendation! My husband and I purchased the EOS with a bonus of the free telephoto zoom lens on Black Friday and we're very happy with it (although we've put it away as it's technically a Christmas present!)

Great post! I was thinking the same thing when I graduated college. My career was #1. Now here I am married for 3+ years and baby #1 on the way (and I just turned 30 last week) and I could not be happier. :)

Oh, man, I remembered leaving some rambling comment on this post. Too much wine at Thanksgiving!
