Got What I Was Looking For...

I got some great feedback from the last post, and some not so great, but hey, that comes with the territory. I do want to speak to my mom before she on the off-chance finds my blog, so I did delete it. Thanks everyone for your candid responses, they are very much appreciated and it helped a lot to know that I'm not alone.

Argh! I do school work for three days and I miss a post about your mother! Oh well...I have enough to worry about with my own mother...lol.

In other news: I am sure that you've been given tons of blog awards, but I too will be giving you one tomorrow on my blog. If it's a duplicate...Well, um...the more the merrier?!

So I am a little late on this one, but just reading your post made my stomach knot up in irritation because it made me think about my mom! She just knows how to get under my skin. Luckily (or maybe not depending on how you look at it) she lives in another city so I dont have to worry about her blatantly going against my wishes that often. An added bonus with my mom is that she cries and pouts if she does not get her way or if I am too stern. My son's baptism was ruined because my mom was trying to call the shots and I sternly said "Mom, NOT NOW. Can you just keep you opinions to yourself!" And she goes and cries in the bathroom. Not only was it embarrassing, it was completely selfish and took away from the day. Sorry for the long comment. My mom reads my blog. Sometimes I wish she didnt!

Hey, you are definitely not alone. I haven't even had my baby yet (EDD was Tuesday - UGH!) and my mother is already eager to show me how little I know. Hang in there!

I got to see your post - and I think we have the same mother!

We have the same arguments - and it really does suck.

((hugs))

UGGG... In my case it isn't my mother who likes to tell me how to raise my daughter, it's my mother in law. She screwed up my husband and his brother so badly it took years and a lot of patience for him to really trust other people. good luck with this battle...
